On our first full night in Beijing, Storm recommended this great hot pot place called Little Sheep. They didn't speak English there so he surprised us by--after putting us in cabs--beating us there, ordering for us (he did a great job), and staying for a while until we were all settled. Seriously, above and beyond. The hot pot set up is below--they put the raw meat in the hot pot and then did the noodle dance (video below) to make noodles.
After dinner we spent a while finding 4 cabs who remotely knew where we wanted to go...then,

to kareoke!! Such a big deal in China...we rented a really intense room for the 15 of us. The time slot was midnight to 6 am! Language barriers definitely applied here, too.

Particularly with the drunk businessmen who paid our room a quick visit.
